Hello,
Time flies when you are a Senior and the past year is a good example of that. It's been a whole year since most of you made acquaintance with 912 Super Seniors when I spoke to Glenn on his Fox News show about the first group in Florida.
Glenn had asked me to speak that day because of his respect for the knowledge, experience and accomplishments of America's Seniors. He wanted to urge Seniors to step forward and help to solve the problems America faces today.
After I told Glenn that my parents were my inspiration to found the 912 Super Seniors, he asked for the website. I still marvel that I was able to remember it.  Then, when he looked into the camera and said, "Crash that site!" I had no doubt his audience would respond and knew that I had some quick work to do.
The show was taped on a Thursday and was to be aired on Monday. The site had been up for months, but was not ready for heavy traffic and Glenn's audience had been known to crash more than one site. Over that weekend a wonderful web designer prepared the site so that on Monday when Glenn's show started at 5pm all was ready.
With my laptop open in front of me, I watched the show with my husband. Less than two minutes after the website was displayed on Glenn's show the first emails came in.  Then they began pouring in by the hundreds. It is an amazing and astounding thing to watch your email screen refill time and again. The new messages just come in waves and when the initial rush slowed, I was looking at thousands of emails from Seniors all over the USA.
And what amazing messages you sent. There were words of encouragement and enthusiasm, questions about finding other Seniors and starting a group, offers of help and examples of Seniors everywhere already engaged in the very things Glenn and I had spoken about.
My call to my friend from first grade and the 912 Super Seniors co-founder, Mary Jo Schroeder, was somewhat incoherent with amazement, but we both realized the challenge was huge...to use the pulpit Glenn Beck had given us to grow the 912 Super Seniors model of Educate, Empower and Act.
One of those first emails was  from a couple who were busy every day with their many volunteer efforts and wondered, "What is Glenn asking us to do? Doesn't he realize we are already working as hard as ever in our lives."
Then there were emails from other Seniors whose experiences were different. Some were isolated from their children and grandchildren...sometimes by distance and sometimes by circumstances. Some had almost withdrawn from social interactions...not because of health problems, but because they felt so much had changed in our culture that they couldn't relate to the world outside their own homes. Now they were reaching out through 912 Super Seniors to share with others what they know to be true and valuable.
As quickly as possible each email did get an answer and that was a mere beginning. The year has been full of wonderful connections and immense challenges. I so admire the generosity, dedication and determination of the Super Seniors I've met through emails and in person. You who fought in our military, grew families and businesses, and held strongly to your faith in God and your love of our country honor the 912 Super Seniors by joining with us.

The second year for 912 Super Seniors. Goal Setting .
I have set forth several goals for myself in our second year as 912 Super Seniors:
(1) to get more members involved in our Southwest Florida chapter;
(2) to make sure that the candidate the Republican party chooses as their presidential nominee is one who will adhere to the 9 principles and 12 values of the Super Seniors and 912 groups nationwide; and
(3) to ensure that the world I leave behind for my children and grandchildren closely resembles the world that I grew up in, one full of faith and strong American constitutional standards.

Being involved with this 912 Super Senior board has been a gift to me over the past year. The help we have given each other is what I wish we could give to every American senior.
We all need a place to ask questions, and receive truthful answers. And this is the place!! I thank the Lord!
Now over the next year, it is my quest, to open the sleepy eyes of the American people to see the Socialism in our country, and to stop it before it takes over completely. The knowledge I have gained over the past two years has shown me the real trouble our country is in.
We retired seniors have the time to help this country recover. Let's stand together and make America the great country it once was. Let's educate our family, friends, and neighbors.

Accept the Blame, Get in the Game and Stop the Train of Tyranny
The next election will be one of the most historic elections since the Founding Fathers gave us this great Constitutional Republic. The year 2012 will either make us or break us.
If you have taken the time to read even one half of the Federalist Papers written by our dear Founders, you will understand just how our politicians have caused decades of erosion of the fundamental principles of our Constitution. Much of what we see of corruption and entitlement morass that plagues our crumbling Republic today is due to our total lack of study, understanding and implementation of our Constitution.
As Americans we have been lax in action and asleep at the wheel. We are about to ditch this great country. As seniors, we must accept the greatest portion of this criticism for we have enjoyed our freedom longer than those behind. Without realizing it until now, our political apathy has allowed our politicians to sell our country down the drain.
This cancer, we must end now. As parents, grandparents and elders of this country we must get our canes, our crutches, our walkers and above all - our sons, daughters and friends to get out and vote in November 2012.
This will be our "finest hour"  to end the potential tyranny and demise of our country and bring it back from the brink so that those who attend our individual funerals will say - Thank God They Woke Up In Time!!!!

Serious pay cuts for all of our doctors, compliments of Obamacare
Will specialists stop seeing Seniors on Medicare? The ruling by the Medicare Payments Advisory Board this week reduces their fees by 6% each year for a total cut of 50% over ten years with 25% of that in the first three years..
A 33% cut is decreed for our general practitioners over ten years. These cuts include an assumed 3% inflation rate.
How can any business survive, let alone thrive, with such drastic cuts? How can a doctor treat us and still pay his staff, rent, insurance, etc.? We know the reimbursements were already low. Could you pay your bills if you lost a huge chunk of your income?

Thank you one and all. If the second year of working and collaborating with Seniors all over this country is as rewarding and effective as the first, our time and efforts will be extremely well spent.
For myself it has been a year of growth and experiences never imagined or expected at this retiring time of my life. The people I have been privileged to meet and to work with have humbled me with their intelligence, determination and patriotism. I have often marveled at the blessing of those who have helped me or allowed me to work with them.
The 912 Super Seniors Co-Founder, Mary Jo Schroeder, and Directors, Rose Goodstone and Greg McNiece, have given so generously of their time and efforts and skills over months of collaboration. We also have an advisor and contributor, The Duke, who shares his knowledge and opinions with us and has found some amazing jokes as well.
Another special advisor, Pete, has contributed knowledge on any subject we could name. Pete is having serious health problems right now and is in our thoughts and prayers.
At this one year mark for the 912 Super Seniors my work and yours is well begun, but far from over. We will persevere because we must as we see playing out before us the truth of the words of Samuel Adams:
If ever a time should come, when vain and aspiring men shall possess the highest seats in Government, our country will stand in need of its experienced patriots to prevent its ruin.
It is an honor to join with you in this endeavor.
