Niagara Sport Commission Helps Clubs Generate Revenue
LeagueToolbox
The Niagara Sport Commission has launched a collection of services to help Niagara's sport clubs generate revenue from corporate partners, granting organizations, and advertisers.

The Niagara Sport Commission is committed to supporting sport clubs in their efforts to provide quality programs to the residents of Niagara, and to bid for, organize, and host sport tournaments, meets, and events. "Assisting clubs to access sustainable sources of revenue beyond registration fees is a priority" says McRoberts, who has been working with local sport clubs to design and build a collection of services. "These services can be tailored to the specific needs of each sport club, tournament, meet, or multi-sport event" explains McRoberts, who championed efforts to bring web-based services like on-line registration, game scheduling, and individual team websites to Niagara's sport clubs and events through a partnership with both the LeagueToolbox and EventToolbox software packages. 3-Foot Bicycle Passing Law
Congratulations to Dr. Robin Williams
Monthly Golf Tip
New 3-foot Bicycle Passing Law

On May 18th, Toronto region MPP Cheri DiNovo introduced a private members bill requiring motorists to leave more space when passing cyclists. This law, which states that motorists must give at least 3-feet of clearance to cyclists, will increase awareness and encourage drivers to share the road.

Cycling enthusiasts are urging others to contact their local MPPs to encourage their involvement and continue to spread the message. With continued efforts, Ontario roads can become safer for motor vehicles and cyclists alike.

The Niagara Sport Commission would like to congratulate Advisory Committee Member and Regional Medical Officer of Health, Robin Williams on her receipt of the Hope Award from the Niagara Child and Youth Services Foundation.

Legends on the Niagara Golf Tip
Shift your weight when you swing
Too many bad swings are caused when we try to stay "still" as we swing.

On your back swing, move your weight to the take away side and consciously put some pressure on your knee and quad muscle as you turn (keep your original knee flex).

The down swing starts with a little lateral movement to the target with your hips, then transfer your weight to the front leg as fast and controlled as possible, keeping your balance. You should feel like you're moving from one foot to the other, if not, you're probably loosing power.
Remember, the golf swing is like throwing a ball, it requires you to make a forward move to the target
