Mother's Day Bike Ride in Colby Park

 

Bring your bike, family and friends and meet at the band pavilion in Windsor Heights' Colby Park 6900 School Street on Sunday, May 8 at 1 pm and go for a leisurely paced, short ride - 5 mile round trip.  Veteran rider Gervase Gallant will lead this Mother's Day special ride.  Plus, the Windsor Heights Community and Events Center will be open for tours from 1:00-2:30 p.m.  Mothers will receive a granola bar.  Ride details on www.bikeiowa.com. 

 

The ride is sponsored by the City of Windsor Heights in conjunction with Bike Iowa Month.  It is intended to encourage families and city dwellers to take advantage of the city's bicycle paths for fun, exercise, and viable transportation.  You can still give Mom her gift and take her out to eat but take advantage of the Mother's Day experience with a refreshing bike ride.  Come enjoy the scenery of both Colby and Water Works Parks.
