Tree Collection begins January 3 Christmas tree collection in Windsor Heights will take place the week of January 3 and January 10. Windsor Heights requires Compost It! stickers on Christmas trees. In order for the process to go smoothly, Metro Waste Authority is asking residents to "de-trim" their trees. All ornaments, tinsel, tree stands, and other decorations should be removed from trees before placing them at the curb. Trees that have been placed in plastic bags will not be collected. Wreaths are also not accepted. Christmas trees are taken to Metro Waste Authority's Metro Compost Center, and if decorations are not removed from the trees, it can harm the composting equipment and workers. |
City Hall Closed: City hall will be closed on Friday, December 31st. Please have a safe and happy New Year. |
