Windsor Wonderland
Don't Miss the Tradition

The family friendly Windsor Wonderland comes alive with festivity for children and adults.  The special holiday open house begins at 2 pm at the new Windsor Heights Community and Events Center in Colby Park, located at the end of 69th Street, south of University on Saturday, December 4.  There is no charge to attend.

In true Windsor Heights style, Windsor Wonderland welcomes the public to participate in the fun.  Activities include decorating cookies, making greeting cards and other seasonal crafts, painting the City's snow plow, listening to live entertainment by area musicians, and enjoying hot chocolate, cider and free popcorn.  Families and their pets are invited to have their photograph taken with Santa.  The afternoon is a not to be missed celebration geared to all ages and members of a family.

The hours of Windsor Wonderland are 2 - 5:30 pm.  For more information, go to www.windsorheights.org.  Parking is available in the Park and around the side streets.  The public is encouraged to a bring personal care product such as toothbrush, toothpaste, Kleenex, deodorant, shampoo, soap, etc for the Windsor Heights/Urbandale Food Pantry.  We will also collect new, unwrapped toys for Toys for Tots.  Also, if you would like to participate in trimming the community tree, please bring an ornament of your choosing.  The ornament does not need to be new.  Gently-used ornaments that you wish to contribute to decorate the tree will only add to its character and charm.

Windsor Wonderland is sponsored by the City of Windsor Heights, the Windsor Heights Chamber of Commerce, the Windsor Heights Neighborhood Association with support from area businesses.
