Request for Volunteers: The City is seeking volunteers to help at this year's Oktoberfest, October 2 at Colby Park. Tasks include: Selling wrist bands and meal tickets Helping fix and serve food Pouring beer Selling t-shirts, art prints, chairs Covering others as a rover Greeting and answering questions Anyone interested, the help will be very appreciated. DO YOU HAVE SKILLS /KNOWLEDGE YOU WISH TO SHARE? Do you know how to start a new business, get free publicity, minimize stress, speak Italian, decorate a cake, excel in a sport, put together a travel itinerary, write a short story, grow native grasses or any other interesting subject? If so, we are interested in hearing from you. The new Windsor Heights Community and Events Center is open and city staff want it to be brimming with educational offerings. CLASSES ANNOUNCED at WH community and events center
BRIDGE. Have fun and meet others while playing what many consider the world's greatest card game: bridge. If you have played bridge in the past and would like to refresh your memory or if you are a beginner and would like to get started, Nancy Wilson (accredited bridge teacher) will be teaching at the new Windsor Heights Community and Events Center. Please call Tracy and to let her know of your interest in either brushing up your skills or learning to play. 6 weeks, 1x/week $5/per lesson, first lesson free - Wednesday afternoon this fall, dates to be announced.
