Please join us Friday night at Colby Park for our next Movie in the Park. The Twilight Saga: New Moon is a 2009 American romantic fantasy-vampire film based on Stephenie Meyer's 2006 novel New Moon. It is the second film in The Twilight Saga film series and is the sequel to 2008's Twilight, which is also based on Meyer's previous novel. The movie will start at dusk, so arrive early so you can get the best seat in the house, and as always, we will have free popcorn for everyone. |
Movie in the Park: The Blind Side
Because the rain forced canceling The Blind Side earlier in the summer, it is being rescheduled to Tuesday, August 10 following Music in the Park. This is a "not to be missed" film that has become embraced by the public for its story and its acting.
Pre-football season activities will be part of the evening's fun. The competitive cheerleader squad from Roosevelt High School will be on hand to show off their talents and teach a cheer. Kids will enjoy trying to make a goal with inflatable footballs. Don't miss this special evening in Colby Park, located at the end of 69th Street, south of University. Both the concert and movie are free of charge.
