The Bard Visits Colby Park

This evening's Movie in Colby  Park will be the 1999 version of the film "Midsummer Night's Dream," shown on the big screen under the stars.  Please note, this movie is PG 13.

On Sunday, July 11, 6:30 pm, Colby Park will turn into a open air theater when the Iowa Shakespeare Experience performs an abbreviated version of their upcoming downtown showing of "Midsummer Night's Dream."  Follow the four young lovers in their hilarious escapades.  The professional actors and script make it an accessible, engaging, and fun experience for kids and adults alike.

Special Preview Open House for Windsor Heights Residents and Businesses Rescheduled Ribbon Cutting Followed by Celebration Iowa Singers & Jazz Band
 
The time is growing near.  Drum roll please. ... The brand new Windsor Heights Community Center officially opens at the end of July.  Prior to this, residents and businesses in Windsor Heights are invited to an exclusive Preview of the facility on Tuesday, July 13 from 5 - 7 pm.  The Preview celebration is being sponsored by the Windsor Heights Chamber of Commerce and the City of Windsor Heights.
   
The re-scheduled Community Center ribbon cutting will be at 5:45 pm.  After many years of planning, City Leaders are excited to "show off" the results.  The Mayor and other dignitaries will dedicate the building.
At the Preview, there will be refreshments for sale including the HyVee grill.  Residents and businesses are invited to come see their new beautiful neighborhood facility.
 
 
 
Following the Open House, attendants are encouraged to stay for the Celebration Iowa Singers and Jazz Band.  This elite ensemble of Iowa high school musicians will perform in Windsor Heights at 7 p.m, also in Colby Park.  Their appearance will be a highlight of the summer Music in the Park concert series sponsored by the Windsor Heights Foundation.
