Just a quick reminder that our plants and lawns need extra water too over the next several day. In case you haven't heard :~) , our Seattle forecast is for temperatures into the 80's & 90's beginning today and through this Sunday. If your landscape is less than one year old, a deep watering everyday will be most welcome. If less than two years old, every other day is fine. With established plants/lawn a good watering at least once during this period is recommended.
If you have an automated irrigation system with a water budget feature, change it to 130% of normal which will increase the watering times by 30%. Additional, check the daily watering schedule to make sure that your system in running often enough. Run a manual cycle if needed during our `Seattle Heat Wave'.
Any elder/disabled folks in your neighborhood may also need are a little extra TLC and would no doubt appreciate your concern, as long as you don't turn the garden hose on them.
Lastly...
Enjoy. This is what we wait all year for, especially if your can enjoy it in your own garden.
