Dear Members and Friends,
The PA Voter ID Hearing is entering its 5th Day of trial with no end in sight.
The ACLU is parading witness after witness. They are testifying, with straight faces, that making a trip to the local Penndot office, to obtain a photo ID, would be a terrible burden for them--both financially and logistically.
And a trip to Harrisburg--our state capitol? Noda problem.
The hearing, open to the public, is expected to last until the end of the week.
(We encourage you to attend if possible--details below.)
In other matters: Gov. Mike Huckabee's call to to make Wednesday, August 1st, Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day has elicited a positive response from around the country.
In line with our previous Black Friday BuyCott (2011) and Whole Foods BuyCott (2009), we are promoting a Chick-fil-A BuyCott, 2012 for the entire month of August, begining August 1st.
In Gov. Huckabee's own words:
"....The goal is simple: Let's affirm a business that operates on Christian principles and whose executives are willing to take a stand for the Godly values we espouse by simply showing up and eating at Chick-fil-A....
"This effort is not being launched by the Chick-fil-A company.... Simply affirm [your] appreciation for a company run by Christian principles by showing up on Wednesday, August 1 or by participating online--tweeting your support or sending a message on Facebook."
American Action Network is sponsoring an Office Opening and Tele-Town Hall with Senator Marco Rubio on Wednesday evening, August 1, at their new Moorestown, NJ Headquarters which is near Cherry Hill (details below).
