released, today, the results of a recent 36 hour Vice Presidential on-line survey showing that Marco Rubio was the first or second choice of a majority of the nearly 400 conservative and Tea Party respondents from the tri-state region.
This announcement comes on the heals of a Tea Party Express survey which mirrored the results of the Association survey--also showing strong support for Marco Rubio.
"While Allen West, Paul Ryan, and Chris Christie performed well in our survey, Marco Rubio was the runaway winner.
"Since our Tea Party PAC was the first in the nation to endorse Governor Romney--before the Iowa Caucus in January--we not only shared the results of our survey with our membership, but also key figures in the Romney campaign,"
said Ms. Adams.
"We, of course, will support whomever the Governor picks, but it's clear that the selection of Rubio would generate an immense amount of enthusiasm.
"The three VP candidates most referenced by the media as the finalists in the VP sweepstakes--Tim Pawlenty, Rob Portman, and Bobby Jindal--barely registered in our survey."
