Tri-State Tea Party to Hold Joint Press

Conference on ObamaCare Decision

 

Philadelphia, PA (June 27, 2012) -- The Independence Hall Tea Party Association is holding a joint Press Conference, tomorrow, with New Jersey health care executive, Michael Johns, and various Congressional 

candidates, to discuss the anticipated US Supreme Court's ruling on ObamaCare. 

 

Association President, Teri Adams, predicts, that at the very least, the 'mandate' portion of the law--forcing every American to buy health 

insurance--will be struck down by the court's decision.

 

"It is our hope that the High Court will overturn the entire law," said Adams.

 

"We believe the 2,000+ page bill, created around the concept of the 'mandate,' is Federal overreach and unconstitutional.  The 'mandate' is one of the many reasons we have opposed the bill since its inception."

 

"Of course, we oppose the bill for a host of other reasons as well, including cost.   The Congressional Budget Office now puts the total cost of ObamaCare at nearly two trillion dollars--double its original estimate of less than a trillion dollars."

 

"As a result, the number of ObamaCare opponents has steadily increased over the past two years.  According to a number of recent polls, nearly two of three Americans opposes this disastrous law."
