December 25, 2011
Dear Members and Friends,
Almost every American school child (hopefully) learns of the December 16, 1773 Boston Tea Party--a precursor of the American Revolution.
But few, if any, ever hear of the Philadelphia Christmas Tea Party which took place 11 days later in the court yard of The Pennsylvania State House (now known as Independence Hall). A record 6-8,000 Philadelphians, the largest gathering of colonials up to that point in history, gathered together to decide what to do with the British tea that had just landed on the shores of the Delaware River.
Come find out what action they took. Watch as WPHT talk show host Gary R'nel narrates and WPHT host Dom Giordano reprises the role (for the 3rd time) of Philadelphia Tea Party leader Dr. Benjamin Rush--author of the infamous 8 Resolutions adopted word for word by Bostonians and Philadelphians just prior to their tea parties.
Included in the our 3rd Annual Commemorative Christmas Tea Party will be award presentations to our 2011 Federal Legislator of the Year, Pat Toomey, and our State Legislator of the Year, Curt Shroder.
We are also proud to introduce 5 US Senate Candidates from the tri-state region (see flyer below) that have very strong ties to our Association. (The Independence Hall Tea Party PAC has not yet made any official endorsements.)
On behalf of the Association Board--a very Merry Christmas and a Happy Hanukkah!
Teri Adams

haphazardly on your screen . |
