A key piece of the expansion of private health insurance through the 2010 Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA) was the creation of health insurance exchanges. The Office of Rural Health Policy recently announced an opportunity for rural communities to bring together key parts of a rural health care delivery system, particularly those entities that may not have collaborated in the past, to work together to establish or improve local capacity and coordination of care.
