Engage in depth

personalized market research strategies

 RURAL HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONALS NEEDED

Engage in Depth is working with the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) to better understand the daily work practices of rural healthcare professionals.  We are looking for providers who are willing to spend between 60 and 90 minutes discussing typical work practices, the resources used to obtain information, and how to find answers to medical questions.  We have several opportunities coming up throughout the Spring, typically conducted as a telephone focus groups, scheduled in the evening hours for convenience.  Compensation varies by study, but ranges from $150 to $20.

These discussions will be for research purposes only - there will be absolutely no sales pitch and no identifying information will be used for any purpose.

Anyone interested can contact Gina Farra at 240-206-6298/gina@engageindepth.com, or fill out this brief questionnaire:  http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/87C9C8V.  I am happy to answer any questions about the process or the specific studies.

Your interest in this research is greatly appreciated.  I look forward to working with you.

Student Resource Page

Are you a student or do you know a student who is interested in rural health and looking for a chance to expand leadership skills and an opportunity to build a professional network? The Georgia Rural Health Association (GRHA) is recruiting students to become part of a growing organization that advocates for the health of rural Georgia. For just $20, students can participate in a network of statewide health providers, an exclusive mailing list, in the annual conference, and GRHA sponsored events. Additionally, student members have access to state and national reports as well as access to local, state, and national rural news and policies. The GRHA network includes members from a wide array of diverse rural health professions. Still unsure about joining? Click here to visit our student resource page. Over the next couple of months this page will be enhanced to include many more valuable functions!

Osteoporosis: Bone Fractures

human bonesBone fractures are the most common physical symptom of osteoporosis. More than 2 million fractures per year are related to the disease, and one out of every two women over 50 will have an osteoporosis-related fracture.

The areas most often fractured due to complications from osteoporosis are: rib, spine, wrist, hip and stress fractures (foot fractures).

Wonder if it's time for you to have a bone density test? Bone density tests (also called bone mineral density tests or bone scans) evaluate the strength of your bones by measuring a small part of one or a few bones. Knowing the strength of your bones can help your doctor recommend prevention steps and osteoporosis medication, if needed, to prevent bone loss and fractures.
