Earlier this year the Georgia General Assembly passed a proposed constitutional amendment that will allow Georgia voters to decide this November whether to agree to pay an extra $10 automobile license tag fee to create and sustain a dedicated fund to support an improved statewide trauma system.
HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius announced the expansion of the Centers
for Medicare & Medicaid Services' (CMS) Rural Community Hospital
demonstration program, through the Affordable Care Act. Up to 20 small
rural hospitals in selected states will be eligible for enhanced
reimbursement for inpatient services, in addition to the 10 hospitals
already participating in the program.
