WEEKLY NEWS
Wholly Macro will be closing for three weeks. WE WILL BE CLOSED JULY 11, 18, and 25.
We will re-open the week of August 1, and will send that menu out on July 28.
If you need to reach us during that time, or need anything at all, please contact our assistant Annette at 954 214-5403. She will be happy to help you.
|
As always, and especially for anyone new to the Wholly Macro Delivery world, we encourage you to order extra food, to freeze for use while we are closed. All of our menus are surprisingly freezer friendly, and are just perfect for ordering extra food to freeze from while we are closed.
If you want to read all about how to best freeze (and thaw) your Wholly Macro food, when freezing is recommended and when it isn't, how to make our schedule work for you, and many other interesting and helpful details about freezing the Wholly Macro food / dealing successfully with Wholly Macro's closure, please click here for full details. We realize that this is a rather long closure and ask you to please bear with us.
We are giving you plenty of notice regarding this closure - three weeks in fact - and we have some really great menu's coming up for you to select plenty of items from to stock up on, including our Fourth of July huge blowout extravaganza menu which will be our last menu until we return. And just so you know: for the week of the Fourth of July the food will be delivered on Thursday due to the holiday falling on Wednesday. We'll remind you again, don't worry!
If you follow the link above and read all about how to prepare for our closure, we think you will be just fine. We are most definitely NOT simply leaving you hanging, because like we said, we have so many nice dishes to choose from in the next three menu's - dishes you will be very happy you ordered extras of in fact as you pull them out of your freezer each of the weeks we are closed.
Trust us. It is a good system. It works well!
And why are we closing you may be asking. Well: This closure is an educational break. I will be going to the Kushi Institute once again to further my knowledge of all things healthy! I will be attending an advanced class in macrobiotics, oriental medicine, counseling, and teaching.
It is the final level of education, so this should not go on forever!
These classes are only given three times a year, once in December, once in April, and once in July. I am not sure I will ever have the courage to go to the mountains of New England in December, so I, in fact, may never finish the entire course! I am a Florida girl. A beach bunny. I am somewhat terrified of serious New England snow and ice and may have to wait for global warming to take full effect before venturing up there in December! Not funny, I know! Sorry! But I'm good with July, and last July we were on our fun Mediterranean adventure, so attending the class again this year is a priority.
The more knowledge Wholly Macro acquires, the better the service we bring to you.

ABOUT THIS WEEKS MENU
This week's menu is so fantastic. We really mean it when we say that we have some really great menu's coming up.
The Taro Root Miso Vegetable Soup is "souper" special! Besides all of the other great vegetables in it, it is just full of taro root. Taro root has very powerful medicinal healing powers. It has a strong drawing effect within the body and is excellent for use in detoxifying and drawing heat out of the body, especially during the hot summer months. It is similar in flavor and texture to that of a potato and makes a fun and healthy addition to this week's soup. |
And how about the Apricot And Mustard Braised BBQ Tempeh And Sauerkraut. Which freezes extremely well BTW! We just love this dish. My great aunt used to make BBQ ribs and sauerkraut when I was a little girl. And it was really delicious. I just loved the combination of flavors: Sweet, sour, pungent, slightly spicy. We think we capture it all in this much healthier version! |
Another favorite is the Carob Cherry Trifle, which happens to freeze really well too. It is the height of cherry season, is it not? This is not really a coincidence either, because we purposely planned it this way. It is such fun to use the seasonal fruits of summer in the weekly menus, and what could be better than carob and cherries?? Carob, for those of you who don't know, is rich and fudgy, very similar to chocolate, but without the harmful side effects.
|
We wrote a newsletter a while back called "The End Of Chocolate" if you want to read more, or are wondering about chocolates harmful side effects. And we are in the process of archiving all of our newsletters so that you can access them via the website or this newsletter, so if you want to read more about carob versus chocolate feel free to browse our archives (Click here for archive home page) and take a look!
|
But whatever you do, don't miss out on all of the great dishes that we are preparing for you this week. The other three dishes on this menu are really delicious too. And super healthy as well. And guess what, they will freeze brilliantly too.
|
Order a few extras! You are going to want to take them out of your freezer around mid - July, and you will just love being able to do so due to your smart and savvy advance planning!!
We'll let you read all about everything we have in store for you this week, below!
In The Best Of Health To You As Always.

Here's some feedback from a consultation client..... " three years ago I discovered that I had breast cancer. I had heard of Macrobiotics years ago. I didn't understand the concept but immediately I knew that that would be the route that I would pursue. But where to go and who to see was the question. Thank God for reading the macrobiotic newsletter. For in the newsletter there was an article about Gayle Stolove. I just felt her strength and passion burn through the page that I was reading. I immediately made an appointment to see her and although I was still so frightened, I felt so comfortable talking with Gayle. Gayle guided me through the whole process. I thought that the macrobiotic way of life would be boring and just eating rice. Well, I love the foods that I eat and I just feel good about it all. You see, after the surgery, you are sort of left on your own.You have to make your own decisions, etc. Everyone gives you different advice as what to eat, what to do, etc. Doctors don't understand what the patient is going through nor do they understand what kind of diet they should follow. I adopted Gayle as my guardian angel. You can't find that with any nutritionist or doctor. I love receiving her weekly e-mailed newsletters. They are so full of wonderful knowledge and beautiful healthy recipes. Gayle is a remarkable human being. She truly cares for her clients and gives them her all, one hundred percent of the time. Gayle has been there and therefore she is so compassionate and dedicates her life to helping people like me....." a cancer survivor |
