Sports meet Entertainment in this new family formatted spectacular that GEA and BKM are co-producing in Turkey and which will be performed exclusively in basketball arenas between February 3rd and February 7th in Istanbul, Izmir and Ankara (schedule below). Athletes, entertainers, dancers, cartoons and famous basketball players will take the court to present audiences with a dazzling show.
FACE TEAM the acrobatic basketball team from Hungary features highly skilled professional gymnasts, basketball freestylers and players and has provided half time shows for the NBA matches and tours, the Euro League, the FIBA and many others. In their career which nearly spans a decade they have pleased audiences in over 15 countries around the World with their basketball free-style routines, slam dunk acrobatic stunts and audience participation acts.
A team of 15 urban and street-style dancers will perform segments inspired by the themes of "competition" and "challenge". Some of Europe's finest dancers shall appear throughout the segment including the Guiness Book of World Records record holder for the highest number of jumps on a single hand (107!), winners from the Breakdance Championship of Sweden and winners from the Swedish TV-show "Sweden got Talent". The dance routines which were exclusively designed for the event will be set against a pumping soundtrack of current and classic hits.
Special guests on the show are: Bugs Bunny & Daffy Duck, Sylvester & Tweety and other Looney Tunes to add a healthy dose of humor and to interact with our youngest audience members as well as an all-star team of Turkish basketball players that will compete with FACE TEAM in a 2 x 15 minute friendly exhibit match as the highlight of the events.
Director / Choreagrapher Jennie Widegren who has worked on countless shows around the World including work for Liza Minelli, Bounce and Black Eyed Peas will be responsible for the artistic direction.
BUGS BUNNY'S BASKET SHOW will be performed "in the round" in basketball arenas with capacities ranging from 4,500 to 11,000 seats on the following dates:
FEBRUARY 3rd - ANKARA (1 shows)
FEBRUARY 4th - IZMIR (1show)
FEBRUARY 6th and 7th - ISTANBUL (4 shows)
