Hello Everyone,
This is another issue with lots of astrology. It is a very busy month for it. December is a launching point so be sure and
read about Uranus going direct so you can be prepared.
I went to the Green Festival in SF on Saturday to hear Caroline
Casey speak. As usual my hand was tired
from all the notes I took. I am
including the highlights in my astrology article. I am paraphrasing the things she said but
will put some of the perfect phrases that she is so good at, in quotes. I will make her information dark red while mine will stay black. I will let you know if an audio copy of her
talk becomes available. Though I like
her on her radio show, she is much more powerful when she is by herself and
gets to talk unfettered. There is a point
where she starts channeling and her verbal imagery becomes even more sublime.
I am including a little bit about Heartmath Institute in
this issue because their easy techniques are immensely helpful for the
body to de-stress. They have many different
programs set up to aide community; for instance, one for school children that transforms
their test anxiety. These techniques
offer a way to break our habit of living off of our adrenals in high stress
mode and shift into living from the heart, literally.
I send you best wishes for clarity and health.

Scorpio New Moon November 16
Now is the time to to deepen into the depths of your
soul. Scorpio encourages transformation
at the DNA level. She rules deep still
lakes that are murky and dark when you try to look down to the bottom. She is the most intense of all the signs and
has very little use for words. She works
at the experiential level not in the mind.
This time of year is the best for discerning your priorities
and planting the seeds to manifest your desires and goals come spring. This year, the focus is on strategies and
goals that support community and the earth.
So what do you want to see start to grow in the spring that would
benefit society? Your neighborhood? Your city?
The bees? The energies are
calling us to expand our parameters and remember that we are interdependent
with all life.
Relationships: Dive
beneath the surface
I know that the first
two paragraphs are a bit confusing. So I
am putting the same two paragraphs below them without the planet names and
aspects. I think that one might be
easier to read for people who don't care to know what the planets are..
This new moon is very complex. We have the Sun (core purpose) and Moon
(emotional perception) in Scorpio (inevitable change) squaring (demanding
change) the planets Jupiter (expansion/knowledge), Chiron (self and world
healing), and Neptune (vision). This aspect can cause a crisis requiring a
shift in perspective, usually for the better.
We have Ceres (how you feel or express love) and Venus
(relationships) also in Scorpio (deep transformation). That coupled with Saturn (responsibility) newly
in Libra (beauty, balance and harmony).
And we also have the new moon trine (harmonizing) with the planets Juno
(committed relationships) and Uranus Retrograde (re-examining freedom). All of these aspects mean that your
relationships, especially committed ones, will either be inclined to go to a
deeper level, pull apart, or become re-defined.
Here is the simplified
version:

Caroline Casey's information, paraphrased and quoted, is in the color dark red. That which is mine will be black.
Saturn in Libra is social responsibility whereas Pluto in
Capricorn is collective power. Anything
that has a structure to it will be challenged to evolve over the next
year. More and more existing systems
will break down and fail requiring a shift in priorities and innovative
solutions.
Synchronicity is cranked up to high right now. The energies are so bursting with change that
it is easier to flow with them than try and stay still.
As Alan Watts said:
"...it's no help to cling to the rocks falling with you."
Looking at where Pluto and Saturn are in your chart will
help you determine where these changes will effect you the strongest.
Caroline said that Saturn square Pluto is like the Cleric
showing us how everything is wrong in detail.
Then the Compassionate Trickster comes along and with a wave
shows us a window saying "Look how beautiful it could be."
Then the Compassionate Trickster waves again and the window
becomes an archway and says, "Let's go through!"
Shed Righteous Expectation and it's dance partner
Disappointment. Release expectation and
compost tyranny. The Key is willingness.
Willingness is the dance partner of
Life.
Meet your adversities with Fierce Blessings and the Compost
bin. She believes in the power of words
and the energies behind them. She does
not "fight" things she "composts" them. A Fierce Blessing example was something like, "May
you fall in love with a beautiful woman, who opens your heart and you go away
to live with her and never come back."
I also loved Caroline's new definition of Forgiveness: "to give energy for change".
What she means is taking all the resentment, fury, hurt,
etc. you have towards your self, others, or society and releasing it to Change.
Feel it as if you are investing your
energy into healthy transformation.
Pluto rules "all that is sacred that has been made taboo". He rules the underworld and therefore
compost. All of your forgiveness energy
will go toward making a rich loam that will facilitate your growth.
Saturn in Libra - the beautiful that is useful. "Beauty so substantial it carries us." It is the time of the powerful feminine. Where decisions and investments will be made
from the reconnected heart, head and spirit.
You will recognize it when the beauty of what you are doing is equal to
the function of it. You will recognize
it as happening because all life forms will be respected and the next 10
generations to come of all that is living will be taken into account. Art, music and creativity will be equal to
math, reading and writing in schools. Mothers
and teachers will be valued for what they are truly worth. Hierarchy as we know it will have ceased to
exist and all are genuinely equal and appreciated for their unique skills. Sorry, I got carried away.
Uranus: Shooting The Arrow Goes Direct on December 1, 2009 at 12:27 PM.
Caroline Casey said that the energy from now until the
first, is like you are holding a bow and arrow.
Your arm is retrograding; pulling the bow string and arrow back slow and
sure." Keep it steady and at 12:27 pm, let fly at your target.
Remember that Uranus is about revelation, inspiration,
freedom, and creating unique paths. He
is the bolt of lighting out of the blue that shakes up everyone's life.
Where are you aiming?
Keep in mind that our brains can only focus on one task at a time. Some of us might be quick at shifting back
and forth from one focus to another, making us multi-taskers, but the brain is
still focusing on one thing at a time even if in microseconds. To that end, I will carry Caroline's analogy
a little further. Most archers carry a
quiver of arrows. Feel free to make many
arrows, where each arrow represents something specific you are aiming at with
it's own target. Keep in mind that this
is the time to create arrows aimed at what Caroline calls, "Social Strategy
Upgrades:" Of course, have your own
personal arrows, but make sure there are plenty of society structure changing
ones as well.
Come December 1, take out one of the arrows, pull back,
sight your target. Let everything fall
away, let your mind become still and calm.
Feel the waves of energy that link you and your arrow to that arrow's target. When your body vibrates the same as your
target loose the arrow and stay focused until the arrow hits it's mark. Release your connection and then grab the
next arrow out of your quiver and do the same for the next one. Keep going, slow, calm, focused until your
quiver is empty. To send it all off so
that you are not clinging to any of the energy trails, I highly recommend you do
the Snoopy happy dance from Peanuts. Or
just play your favorite dance song and throw your arms up and out and dance,
sing and shout to the sky.

The Institute of Heartmath
I first discovered Heartmath when I was listening to a radio
show where Doc Childre, the founder, was talking about some of his institutes
findings regarding the heart. I was so
fascinated I bought their book Science of the Heart, an overview of their
research. That was about four years ago. More recently, I thoroughly enjoyed his talk
given at the Sound Healing Symposium.
I am bringing this up now because I recently joined their Global Coherence Initiative. "The Global Coherence Initiative is a
science-based initiative to unite millions of people in heart-focused care and
intention - to shift global consciousness from instability and discord to
balance, cooperation and enduring peace."
Heartmath defines it:
"Coherence, in relation to any system, including the human body, refers
to a logical, orderly and harmonious connectedness between parts. Psychologically,
coherence is experienced as a calm, balanced, yet energized and responsive
state that is conducive to everyday functioning and interaction, including the
performance of tasks requiring mental acuity, focus, problem-solving, and
decision-making, as well as physical activity and coordination. Among the many benefits of coherence are
calmness, good energy levels, clear thinking and proper immune-system function." They also found that appreciation boosted the
body's immune system by 50%. . It is the
emotional shift that is the key element to that boost.
Some nuggets from the talk:
The artist who makes the music influences the affect of the
music. There is an energetic transfer
between the artist(s) and the music. This
is why an exact cover of a song can still not affect you the way the original
does.
Just as it is important to eat a varied diet, it is also
ideal to listen to a varied diet of genres.
Studies showed that even when listening to soothing music designed to
heal the body or Mozart which strengthens the body, your body's immune system
is dampened or inhibited when you listen to the same type of music all the
time. To be clear, they do not mean the
same band or musician, they mean the same style or genre of music.
The physical heart communicates to the whole body in four
ways
Neurological - heart directly to brain and vice versa
Biophysical - wave of energy flowing through body
Hormonally -the adrenals
Electrically - you can measure the hearts electrical field
three to ten feet out from the body. We
broadcast our emotions through this field.
It is the heart's electromagnetic signal that is picked up by the other
parts of the body and by other people you are around.
To see EKG's of the different heart beats and more
information go here:
Heartmath has three basic techniques to bring coherence to
your heart, Freezeframe, Cut-Thru, and Heart Lock-In. They are described in their book The Heartmath Solution. I found it at my library.
Here are some free techniques they offer off their website:

Quick Coherence for Adults
They also have special Quick Coherence techniques designed for
kids at different ages. Go here and scroll to bottom and you will find them.

Solutions For Stress
free webinars are here:
Their exercises are great because they are a physical means of
returning to your heart when your mind or fear takes you out. They short circuit the adrenalin overdrive we
tend to live in and support the development of a healthy beating heart.
