Super Advanced Exercises On The Cadillac 2-5 PM
As with the Reformer, we know, practice and teach it on a regular basis is a familiar message. Was that everything Uncle Joe ever created for the Cadillac? No, there is more. We will explore the "next steps" for your intermediate to advanced level clientele and review what is known as the super/advanced level exercises on the Cadillac! 3 PP CEC's

(Available first come first serve for those taking seminars.)
Barrel Progressions 12-2 PM Taught by Bob Leikens
Joseph Pilates created a beautiful progression on an often-overlooked piece of equipment, the Barrel. Wipe the dust off your Barrel and remember what a great piece of equipment it can be! The Barrel allows access to gradually open two very restricted areas of our body, the hips and shoulders. We will work through this progression from the Small Barrel up to the Ladder Barrel in such a way that it becomes easier to incorporate the Barrels into almost every workout. 2 PP CEC's
Prerequisite: Beginner and intermediate mat teaching experience.
Spice up your mat class by adding hand and ankle weights to the exercises of the classical intermediate mat. This seminar will review how to safely add weights to many of the exercises to add a challenge to your class. Be prepared to move!
Prerequisite: Open to all with mat teaching experience
Art of Verbal Cueing 2:30-4:30 PM taught by Bob Leikens
We, as instructors, sometimes question if we are telling the student too much or too little. Have you ever wondered, "Why do I feel I am talking/teaching so much and my client still isn't getting it?" During this workshop, we will look at appropriate cueing - verbal, as well as tactile. We will also discuss how to efficiently convey the wealth of information without flooding the client. Our philosophy has always been "appropriate cueing at the appropriate time."
Prerequisite: Mat and/or apparatus teaching experience.
This is a study of basic anatomical language, which contains an introduction to planes of movement and major concepts of the skeletal and muscular systems. The course includes an outline, literature and hands on experience.
Prerequisite: Ideal for instructors and clients who have minimal or no previous anatomical knowledge. Bring your Anatomy of Movement book. This course is a prerequisite for all Power Pilates apparatus programs (unless you can provide proof of attendance in a course within the last five years).
