Le Jardinet in Fine Gardening - again!!

While I was in England I had an exciting email from

Danielle Sherry, associate editor at Fine Gardening magazine. She invited me to write a full feature article on 'Small Trees for Shady Places' - both a treat and an honor. These larger articles are planned well over a year in advance so I don't know the issue number for that one yet.

However, I will  have a Great Plant Picks article in the next (April/May) issue where I selected one of my all time favorite must-have plants. I'm not telling you more than that BUT one of you will recognize YOUR garden! How much fun is that? Actually the images I sent were taken by the highly talented Ashley DeLatour of One Thousand Words Photography, who has been working with me for about a year now.

As if that wasn't enough fun I will also be in the following (July/August) issue, having written the Regional Plant Picks for the Northwest.

Watch this space!

PLANT OF THE
MONTH
Anemone blanda

Grecian windflower
Anemone blanda

Last fall I planted several hundred of these adjacent to the pathway which leads to my front door, each clump interspersed with white crocus. So pretty! Available in shades of pink, blue or white each flower measures an inch across with the plant just being a few inches high. A perfect ground cover in sun or part shade. Available in the nurseries now, potted up and ready  to plant - they'll spread each year.
