Greetings!

Hope business is booming for all of you!

We are busy here at the chamber creating a new Tigard Chamber website with an improved online member directory, event calendar, online event registration/payment and more.

Edge One Media (chamber member), has been selected as our web design firm and is working with us to bring a easy to navigate, user friendly and mobile friendly website to our members, visitors and community.  We will be integrating a software package called ChamberMaster, specifically designed for chambers of commerce that will deliver tremendous value to our members!

Stay tuned for updates as we progress through creating our new website.  We expect to launch sometime in July.

To ensure we provide a top quality website to our members, we are using Monday's at the chamber for web and ChamberMaster work.   Due to the level of attention to detail required for this work, we will be closed to the public and for member inquiries on Mondays.  Feel free to e-mail us, or leave a message and we will return it on Tuesday.

Thank you for your support:)

Hope to see you at the 2012 Tigard Shining Stars Community Awards Celebration being held Friday, April 27th from 6-9 p.m.  With a theme of Escape to a Night in the Caribbean, this fun, casual event will be a blast!  For more info or to purchase tickets, click here.  Registration deadline is 4/23/12.

I'll be there with my tropical attire, including my parrot, where will you be?

BUILDING A STRONG, LOCAL ECONOMY

Opt In - Portland Metro

Metro, the regional government that oversees transportation, natural areas, urban growth and development in the greater Portland area has developed a new tool called Opt In to hear the opinions of more local residents. Opt In is an online public opinion panel that asks participants to complete 1 or 2 short surveys each month on topics of regional concern. Opt In was launched a year ago and more than 8,000 people have signed up so far. However, most of these members live in Portland and Multnomah County. Washington County is very under-represented. Metro wants to hear from a broader range of opinions and viewpoints to help make our region a great place to live. Visit www.optinpanel.org to learn more and join."

FREE ResourceFull Use workshop for Washington County businesses

Washington County businesses manufacture a diverse array of products, from potato chips to microchips.  In the creation of these products "waste" materials are generated.  And, though many may consider waste material as simply needing to be disposed of, the "waste" your business creates could be the input/feedstock material that another business is seeking, as part of its process to make new products.

We invite you to learn about the potential for matching up waste generators outputs to become another's input.   Attend this FREE ResourceFull Use workshop for Washington County businesses, sponsored by the Washington County Solid Waste and Recycling Program in partnership with the Pacific Northwest Pollution Prevention Resource Center.

Registration is limited.
Please register at  http://tinyurl.com/ResourceFullUse and join us on April 24th for this unique business workshop.
