Calling All Volunteers!

United Way of Coastal Georgia, Inc. (UWCGA)

 2011 Days of Caring,

 a community-wide, hands-on volunteering event
Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, May 19th - 21st

and we need your help!  

This year Days of Caring will embrace two remodeling projects, Mary House Day Care & Learning Center (2813 Hunter Street, Brunswick) and the Scout Hut (Broad Street, Darien), and will benefit 2 of our most at-risk groups:  pre-school and youth. Mary House is a non-profit day care daily serving 50± children from low-income, working families. The Scout Hut provides a safe place for Girl & Boy Scouts to meet, learn, and become responsible citizens and future leaders.

*Volunteers will be needed over the 3 days*

*Shifts will be split into two 4-hour morning and afternoon shifts* 

*Lunch will be provided each day as will plenty of snacks and beverages*

*Volunteers can register for 1 or all of the shifts based on their commitment and time availability and will be able to select the location as well as a sub-project based on their interest and skill set*

* The fist 200 volunteers who register will be guaranteed a DOC t-shirt*
