Yummy & Tasty | BLUEBERRIES An under -used landscape plant, not only gives you fruit, but very healthy fruit Nutritional benefits . Blueberries are both evergreen or the very brightly colored red fall foliage of the deciduous variety which is the one that we use the most for fresh fruit . You only need 2 different varieties--early to mid or mid to late bloom times. A few names to look for are Duke, Elliott, Toro, Northblue, Bluecrop, Chandler and the evergreen variety Sunshine Blue. Cultural needs are full sun & acidic soil, here in Florence we are acidic enough in most places that you don't need to add aluminum sulphate to the make it acidic. |

ASTILBE -FALSE SPIRAEA feathery cutleaf foliage either red or green with colorful plume flowers of pinks, whites & reds. Grows best with morning sun and afternoon shade, if to much sun leaves will scorch and turn brown. Needs good drainage along with rich organic soil. Companion plants would be Bleeding Hearts, Columbines, Brunnera, Hosta, Aruncus, can also incorporate into container plantings, with Coryadalis, Helleborus & Coral Bells.

Local recycle artist Larry Beveridge has brought his all recycled glass yard art to the nursery. Each piece is hand made and individual design by Larry. Jackie has been known to give him some ideas, but both Larry & Jackie are always on the lookout for just the right piece to add to his collection.
