Join Us for a Movie Night to Watch Jesus in India
Please join us on Saturday, May 30th at 7:00 pm to watch Jesus in India.

Jesus In IndiaBookstore web pageThe teachings of Paramahansa Yogananda about Jesus Christ are highlighted in Jesus in India, a groundbreaking new film by Paul Davids, which explores the "missing years" of Jesus. Journeying across three continents to uncover evidence of Jesus' sojourn in India, the film features probing conversations with world-renowned scholars, religious leaders, and historians, including an interview with Brother Chidananda, a Self-Realization Fellowship monk and minister.
For more information about the film go here.
Mother Center Open HouseBookstore web page Aaron's Meditation Garden
While visiting the Lake Shrine grounds, Aaron was profoundly moved by the peace and beauty he found there and it led him to follow this path. He had hoped that one day SFMG would also have a meditation garden. For that reason we had decided to plant a tree in his honor to replace the one that had fallen outside our chapel. While waiting for approval to have it planted, the City cemented over the opening in the sidewalk. Surprised by the sudden change but undeterred, the Group decided at its April meeting to instead add two planters on either side of the entrance to the chapel. Our new planters will be a place holder for that meditation garden that we will have one day.

"May we all realize the joy of such occasions as this Convocation, and receive such upliftment from these experiences that the darkness of ignorance may be forever dispelled by the beacon light of that joy."
-- Paramahansa Yogananda
Help Us Complete Our Lending Library
SFMG has been working to gather a full set of SRF materials to have available to lend to members, students and community members interested in exploring our Guru's teachings. There are CD's, magazines, DVD's, tape recordings and books that may be borrowed for two weeks. For a list of the items that we are currently seeking, please go here.

Free Literature Table
We are currently in need of past SRF magazines for our free literature table. If you are copying the CD's that come with the magazines on to your iPods, please consider donating the CD itself for our free literature table.

All donations, new or used, are gratefully accepted. They can be given to the usher or placed on the kitchen table for inventory and processing.
