Confirmation Retreat
March 2 - 4, 2012
Presbyterian Camps - 631 Perryman Street, Saugatuck, MI 49453
Cost: $100, scholarships are available.
This retreat is open to all youth grades 6-9 who are part of a Confirmation Program in the Presbytery of Chicago and come with their church group. Our theme is "Are Christians Allowed to...?" Examine big questions about the life of discipleship, in small groups with fellow church members as well as large group discussions.
Church Registration Forms must be received no later than February 20, 2012

Opportunities for Trips to the Middle East
Isn't it time you visited Israel and Palestine? Pauline Coffman and Paul Parker (from Elmhurst College) will be co-leading a trip, June 12 - 25, 2012, that will look at Religous Diversity in Israel and Palestine and how daily life is impacted by the political realities.
We will be meeting with Jews, Christians, Muslims, Samaritans, Ba'hai, and the Druze. Our itinerary will take us to Yad Vashem (the Holocaust Museum), Masada, the Dead Sea (for a swim), Bethlehem, Hebron, Jerusalem, Nazareth, Tel Aviv, Haifa, Acco, and Jaffa. Pick up a brochure by the front doors of the Presbytery office, or contact Pauline at p.coffman@sbcglobal.net for an electronic copy. The deadline for group rates is March 7, 2012, so if you have been pondering this trip, it is time to decide! |

Scholarships for Presbyterian undergraduates
The National Presbyterian College Scholarship Program offers need-based scholarship assistance to full-time students entering their first year of college at one of the colleges related to the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.).
PCUSA scholarships are available for Undergraduates, Graduate/Theological students, and pastors.

For Such a Time as This: A Small Church Residency - Growing Leaders, Growing Churches
Launched by the General Assembly Mission Council (GAMC)in Fall 2009, For Such a Time as This is a timely and innovative program that pairs small, underserved congregations with recent seminary graduates in a two-year pastoral residency relationship. The program was designed to renew the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) by equipping new pastors to grow small churches Deep and Wide in evangelism, discipleship, servanthood and diversity.
