McCormick Days is McCormick Theological Seminary's annual alumni/ae reunion, as well as an opportunity for continuing education.

Consultant and author Gil Rendle will present a study of his book "Journey in the Wilderness: New Life for Mainline Churches" on Friday, Oct. 28, in Urbana, Ill. Pine Avenue United Church's Youth Ministry is looking to do new things in ministry in the Austin community. The theme of this time of revival is: "Following Christ Together While Praising as One."

Worship Alive! Scholarships

The Worship, Music, and the Arts (WMA) Work Group of the Presbytery of Chicago is offering scholarships to Worship Alive! in honor of the memory of Charles E. Dickerman, former moderator and newsletter editor of the WMA workgroup. The Worship Alive! workshops are for those individuals interested in planning and leading worship.  Information avilable about workshop topics, dates, and locations.


Scholarship applicants must be a non-clergy member of a church within the Presbytery of Chicago. Scholarships are limited to two people from each congregation. Email Linda Wygant for application materials.  

Position Available 

The Presbytery of Chicago seeks a Youth Ministry Coordinator to:

  • Plan and carry out four presbytery-wide youth events annually
  • Foster a network among congregational youth leaders throughout the presbytery
  • Offer advice, counsel, and resources to churches without youth leadership
  • Work with Youth Ministry Team
