DOOR is Hiring Christian Young People Interested in Leadership Development in an Urban Context

DOOR is hiring Christian young people who are interested in working for the summer in Chicago, Atlanta, Denver, Hollywood, Miami, and San Antonio and helping to assist with groups as they come through the city each week while learning more about urban ministry leadership.  I am on the board for DOOR Chicago and we are very intentional about recruiting local youth to be engaged in this leadership training program.  I  was hoping that you might know some high school and college age students who may be interested in working for this incredible ministry this summer.  Here is a link to the job description and application: http://www.doornetwork.org/index.cfm?load=page&page=239

Thanks,

The Congo Education Excellence Project is Appealing for Your Help:

This collapsing school in the Congo is still being used.Due to the war in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and its government's lack of support for education, its 684 Presbyterian Schools are in critical need of durable buildings; books; teacher training programs; scholarships; and vehicles.

A group of U.S and Congolese Presbyterians have joined forces to raise funds for these schools by forming the Congo Education Excellence Project (CEEP).

Please ask your church and civic organization to join this 'war for

quality education':

  1. invite a speaker and video presentation on the children and schools of the Congo;
  2. crochet and sell beautiful necklaces to raise funds; and
  3. donate to the Congo Education Excellence Project.
