Presbytery Pastoral Care Network Newsletter

What began as an informal network, the Presbytery Pastoral Care Network is now a growing nationwide effort involving more than 175 Presbyterians from more than 33 states throughout the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) who are engaged in and concerned about the care and support of ministers. The Presbytery of Chicago is among the membership. The current issue of the PPCN newsletter is particularly timely to our presbytery in its mention of David Bailey, the son of Kenneth Bailey who is the featured presenter at the upcoming clergy retreat.   David died on Oct. 2, 2010 after bravely battling a brain tumor diagnosed in 1996. He spent the years in between writing and performing music that expressed his deep faith in Jesus Christ; many pastors and churches have benefited from his unique ministry of music and courage.
