Fast Response to Rollover
Stems the Outflow of Oil

Truck accidents resulting in environmental spills of chemicals, petroleum products and other hazardous materials require a fast and efficient response in order to limit the environmental impact and minimize the cleanup and site remediation costs. That was evident recently when Spill Center received a call about a tanker rollover. The tanker suffered damage and released an estimated 2,500 gallons of oil onto a roadway.

The total capacity of the tanker was 6,800 gallons of oil, which continued to flow out onto the ground. But Spill Center staff located and dispatched a contractor who got the leak plugged and initiated cleanup, keeping the bulk of the oil contained until it could be off-loaded. Spill Center handled the required regulatory reports and documented the cleanup for the client to keep the carrier in a legally defensible position.
