Spill Center Launches
Service in East Africa

Spill Center has opened a communications center in the East African Republic of Kenya to serve companies at risk from on-highway and facility spills of hazmat, fuel, oil and other regulated materials in that region. Founded in the USA over 20 years ago, Spill Center has grown to become a North American leader in spill support services and environmental claims management.

In East Africa, Spill Center is using cell phone service, the Internet and a 24-hour call-center to provide immediate assistance with spill response, regulatory reporting and communications. As in North America, one phone call is all it takes for clients to get the assistance they need during spill emergencies.

Spill Center is set up in Kenya to help clients comply with The Environmental Management and Co-ordinantion Act, 1999, Part VII Environmental Auditing and Monitoring.  Gerhard Hochmuth, Spill Center's representative, can be reached for information by calling 254-736-471047 or by email at ghochmuth@spillcenter.co.ke.

Since 1990, Providing Expert Support After Spills

Spill Center was founded in 1990 by Tom Moses, president, who is a former toxicologist for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and holds a law degree. He believes that no company should ever have enough spills to get good at handling them properly. Instead, clients rely on Spill Center's staff of trained associates, who are experienced in environmental, technical and legal matters, for 24-hour support, 7 days a week.

In North America, Spill Center is a recognized authority on environmental spill management systems and regulatory issues. Spill Center's expertise includes:

  • Spill Response Coordination
  • Cleanup Contractor Dispatch
  • Regulatory Compliance
  • Contingency Panning
  • Cost Control & Invoice Auditing
