For Gigi, the camera became a way to record life's experiences which encouraged the sharing of stories among family and friends creating personal memories. As she reflected on her own life, GiGi's photography went in a new direction; inspirig the viewer to reflect, feel passion and create change in their own lives. A bit of posterized filter has been added to photographs to express the surrealism she feels at times living in a small rural community. A Note from Cynthia Wolf
Greetings to all friends/patrons/family! I am now in our new gallery in Ashland, Oregon for the summer after a long 4 day road trip! Some of you are making plans to visit while I'm here. This is a wonderful town to linger in; Shakespeare Festival, wineries, galleries, amazing restaurants, music, and oh, did I mention the great weather? No 103's here!
I'm excited to announce 3 new exhibits in my gallery in OKC while I'm on the west coast adventure; Rural America in July, Gigi Webb, photographer, Small Works by the Oklahoma Pastel Society in August & GiGi Webb back again in September for her beautiful photographic PowWow series.
Glenn Fillmore, from Wichita Kansas & Washington, D.C., has joined the roster of artists in the
gallery. A superb landscape photographer, he will have his new work
available framed or unframed & matted beginning in July. Our Summer
Hours are Thursday - Saturday, 11am to 4pm and you can come by and meet
Glenn beginning with the July Gallery Walk.
We also have artwork by Clive Tyler, Paula Jones, Thomas Stotts, me and new pottery by Robin Wolf from Kingfisher Oklahoma.
While in Ashland I am working on a new photographic series "Driving by the West" as I have made this journey 4 + times now. I'm sorting and printing aiming for an exhibit in OKC the early part of 2011.
