Greetings!
Warm Autumn greetings! We wanted to share some quick updates from A Sacred Moment noted below. Learn from leading end-of-life experts in the Seattle area as they share about Caring for Our Elders at the WELOCC Annual Meeting this Friday, attend a home funeral workshop at Bastyr University in 2011 and learn about our newly formed home funeral organization, the National Home Funeral Alliance!

Annual Meeting.
Washington End of Life Consensus Coalition (WEOLCC) annual meeting will be held on Friday, November 12, 9:30am-2:30pm, at the Red Lion Hotel, SeaTac. The meeting will feature a keynote presentation, "Caring for Our Elders and Caring for Ourselves: Invitation to a community dialogue," co-presented by Stu Farber, MD, Associate Professor in the Department of Family Medicine at the UW School of Medicine, and Bruce Smith, MD, Medical Director, Hospice & Nursing Home Services at Group Health. Home Funeral Vigil Workshop at
Bastyr University.
On Saturday, January 22, 2011 9:00 - 5:00, Char Barrett will offer a hands-on workshop in which you can develop the awareness and skills to guide your family, or others, through the journey of an in-home funeral vigil.
CEUs available for marriage & family therapists, mental health counselors, and social workers licensed in WA State
General public $185, Professional $195, Full-time student $150
Course fee includes A Sacred Moments Handbook, a 175 page guide through the journey of a home funeral vigil, a value of $30.
