Military Program sparks interest across the Country

"It means a lot just because it shows that people care about us," said U.S. Army Specialist Juan Carlos Hernandez.

Hernandez has been kayak fishing for almost six months. In October 2009, he lost his right leg while serving in Afghanistan. His helicopter was hit by a rocket propelled grenade. The explosion and shrapnel destroyed his leg. There was no choice but to amputate.

Thoughts on the 4th ---The American flag does not fly because the wind moves past it. The American flag flies from the last breath of each military member who has died protecting it. American soldiers don't fight because they hate what's in front of them~they fight because they love what's behind them. Remember the reason we celebrate this weekend and all those who have fought for our independence.

Have a great 4th  of July
