Adopt-a-Family project looking for families and donations
The Dayton Autism Society has a community service project called Adopt-a-Family. This project allows the Dayton Autism Society to help out a needy family with one or more children on the autism spectrum at Thanksgiving, and another during the December Holiday.
In order to make this happen, the Dayton Autism Society relies on the generous donations from businesses in the community. All donations stay local to help local families. If you work for a company that would like to help us in our efforts, we would appreciate the tax-deductible support. Contact us by email regarding your donation and we will make arrangements to get the donation from you and give you a receipt for tax purposes. We are looking for gift cards to local grocery stores, toy stores, clothing stores, Wal-Mart, Meijer, etc. or donations of food and presents. We will also accept monetary donations and in-kind donations from companies.
To qualify for assistance, a family in need should be referred by a community service agency who is aware of their financial situation and their child's diagnosis... more |
