Upcoming Events/Fundraisers/Dates
ONLY 20 SEATS ARE AVAILABLE FOR THE CIRCA 21 KIWANIS/ROTARY DINNER ON JANUARY 19TH.  IF YOU WISH TO ATTEND, PLEASE CONTACT DICK FISLAR ASAP TO ENSURE YOUR RESERVATION.
The Opening Act

The meeting was called to order by President "Casual" Craig Knobloch.  Alicia gave the invocation and Lee led our song for the day.  In attendance were 58 members, 3 guests, 2 Alleman Key Club members and 3 St. Ambrose Circle K members.

Daryl Townsend presented $68 for Pantry Day.

Gene Smith made a very special presentation on behalf of Birdies for Charity.  A check in the amount of $2,844.39 will now be available for future donation requests.  With the help of his patented soft sell approach, Gene was happy to report that 100% of the pledges were collected this year. Congratulations to all.

$32 was collected for Happy/Sad Dollars.  This week Casual Craig Knobloch easily took home the "If it weren't for Bad Luck" honors. I will not be able to repeat the story for lack of space.

Dick Fislar is hoping members will sign up early for the upcoming Kiwanis/Rotary Holiday Party at Circa '21 in January 19th.

Tom Plechaty and his cheese sales are off and running.  Like the Maytag repairman, Tom is lonely at times and encourages everyone and anyone to stop and say hi.  You might even want to place an order. Thanks for supporting this fundraiser.

Please keep Bob Votroubek and his family in your prayers after the passing of his mother.

Interclub Co-Chairs John Califf and Steve Schroder have scheduled a trip to the Moline Kiwanis Club for their noon meeting at Trinity Lutheran Church on November 9th.

The East Moline/Silvis Club will be holding a trivia night on November 6.  If you think you have a knack for remembering useless information, please consider making this a special date.

Adam Bain informed us that Coats for Kids is still on for November 5. Volunteers should plan on being at the Old Navy store by 11:15.

In Fun and Fellowship, Tommy Smith won the preliminary prize of $5.  The Cartel had a 50/50 opportunity at the $37 BIG Drawing but went away empty handed

The Feature Attraction

Quad City Mallards V.P. of Corporate Sales, Chris Presson gave us the latest on our local professional hockey team.  The Mallards are now a member of the Central Hockey League and will play a 66 game regular season that will take them to 12 different states.  The season is still very young and they now stand at 3-3.

Future Attractions

Nov. 15th> Bob Szorc / Alleman Basketball

Nov. 22nd> Thom Sigel / Rocky Basketball

Nov. 29th> "BLANKET-BALOOZA" / Service Project

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
