Dear Friends of At Home Solutions:

One of the
very first questions asked when a family calls is "how do you screen your employees?" This is how we answer them:
  • We require past experience working with either seniors or adults with disabilities
  • We conduct professional and personal reference checks
  • Background checks are done through the Department of Health
  • Additional driving record checks are run to provide incidental transportation
  • Social Security and address verification is completed
  • Situational questions and personality interview is conducted
  • Applicants are interviewed by at least 2 managers
  • 7 page application is required to be filled out
While we aren't 100% perfect all the time with our hiring, we certainly provide due diligence to ensure our families are paired with the most trusted, empathetic, caring and professional staff we can find. We can train someone how to do their job better but we can't improve their compassion and attitude - that is what makes our staff stand out.

For your peace of mind and comfort, it is possible to stay safe, secure and independent at home with compassionate Caregivers and Home Health Care Services. I am thankful
for all your referrals to your loved ones, clients, neighbors, co-workers or friends who needed some assistance.

Please continue to keep us in mind and contact me personally if I can be of any assistance to you.

In Gratitude,

Kristin Kopp

Music therapy is an allied health service similar to occupational therapy, physical therapy, and speech-language pathology that uses music as the therapeutic tool to address physical, cognitive, social, emotional, psychological, spiritual, and/or behavioral needs.

This type of therapy can be particularly helpful and beneficial for people with memory loss, those with speech or physical issues, at end of life, and for the elderly wanting to remain as independent as long as possible.

Melissa Hirokawa with Living Spirit Therapy has had extensive work and training on music therapy with older adults.

For more information or to find out how to start music therapy services for your loved one go to http://livingspirittherapy.com or contact Melissa at #952-240-6130.

I have a degree in Gerontology and an Activity Director certificate. My calling is working with older adults and my gift is working with people who have memory loss.

I keep current by going to the Alzheimer's Conference every year. I have been in the Elder care field for 12 years and really love working one to one with clients and helping keep people living in their homes.

I got into this rewarding field by caring for my grandparents. I am rewarded by each person's story and enjoy reminiscencing with the clients to bring moments of joy to them of happy memories. Finding activities that are of each client's individual interests is a great enjoyment of mine.

The arts is one of my greatest passions and I can be seen ushering for the Hennepin Theater District. I love to dance, take tap lessons and go camping with my family and friends at both State and National parks.

 Welcome to our new Staff!
