Dear Friends of At Home Solutions: Merry Christmas and Happy Hanukah! As 2008 comes to a close and 2009 lingers near, I'd like to reflect on all the amazing things that we have to be thankful for this past year:
* Our Caregivers have helped over 70 new families with hands on assistance or Home Management services.
* We have a beautiful office space to work from - a wonderful improvement from working at a home office in 2007.
* Our office staff has doubled in size and the numbers of Caregivers who support our clients continue to increase.
* AHS has grown 400% this past year!
* We participate in 13 networking groups
which help us form new professional partnerships to further our staff's education and find new resources and referrals for our clients and their families.
We anticipate another year of exciting challenges and amazing growth, and we continue to look for ways to network and support other senior professionals in the Twin Cities. I'd personally like to extend my appreciation toward my staff and Caregivers for their hard work, selfless kindheartedness and dedication to our clients and families. We are here to ensure that adults needing assistance at home (whether recovering from surgery, Caregivers needing respite time, stressed out mothers, seniors or adults with disabilities) have the services they need. Light homemaking, chore services, meal preparation, medication reminders, downsizing/ decluttering/ organizing, stand-by showering assistance, incidental transportation services are all available from 2-24 hours per day, seven days a week.
It is possible to age safely in place with compassionate Caregivers and Home Management Services. Please contact me personally if I can be of any assistance to you or a loved one. We are here to help.
In Gratitude,
Kristin Kopp

Financial Check-Up For The New Year
As 2008 comes to a close it is naturally a time of reflection, a time to look back on our successes and challenges, as we look forward to a new year. I am certain for many, it has been a year of wonderful blessings, additions, and losses in your families, changes in jobs, as well as the realization we are living in changing times. As we look forward in anticipation to a year of new beginnings, it is important to identify the things in our lives that mean the most. For many it will be a year of changes in family dynamics. A year of looking beyond ourselves to the needs of those we care for. For many it will be the realization that additional care is needed and the obvious question of, how will we pay for it? We know the importance of a wellness check up to insure our health and proper care but when was the last time you had a financial check up? With so many of us wondering if we will be able to retire as planned, able to maintain our current standard of living, and whether or not we can afford the care we so desire for our loved ones, there is no better time than the present to address our financial health. Changes to your financial health are certain. Whether the change is due to the economy, job loss, health changes, or family structure, there are some things we can do to prepare ourselves.
*Identify your income sources
*Review your outflows
*Review your legal documents
*Review your portfolio with your advisor
*Make an appointment for a financial check-up Awareness of our overall financial health brings peace of mind that we are doing all we can for ourselves and the ones we love.
