Leave it to the AJC fish wrap for breaking news. Prices are down from what? From the expectations of overextended sellers? From those betting on 25% annual appreciation? Just like I counseled my clients not to believe their home values would double in three years, I'm reminding them that all real estate is local. Most areas are down, but some are holding the line. | Forbes Magazine Rates Atlanta in top 10 |
 Atlanta moved into the top 10 when it comes to "best places for business and careers". This is a jump from last year when the area was ranked 25th. Forbes credits major corporate HQs, the airport and a reduction in crime as major factors for the jump. Global Insight reports that the population has doubled in the last 20 yrs and is expected to grow another 11% in the next 4 yrs. Personal income is expected to grow annually by 6.3%...I'm not certain how with $3.50/gal gas and this economy, but let me not rain on the parade! CLICK HERE TO CONTINUE |

Right along side debating square footage calculation is the debate about labeling rooms and room count. What constitutes a BR, does a shower stall mean it's a full bath, what's a "bonus room" anyway, are rooms in the basement reflected in overall room count?
