The Red Lion Inn is participating in Berkshire Grown's Farmed + Foraged: A Weekend of Spring Flavors, a local culinary celebration of farmed and foraged seasonal foods May 21 - May 23. The Red Lion Inn is once again one of the official sponsors of the Farmed + Foraged event. Executive Chef Brian J. Alberg will present a special Farmed + Foraged three-course dinner menu crafted
from foraged items, local dairy, eggs, greens and locally sourced proteins. The prix fixe meal is priced at $45 per person (not including tax or gratuity.) Berkshire Grown will receive a contribution of $15 from each prix
fixe dinner sold (please call 413.298.5545 for information and a reservation).

To extend the celebration of Farmed + Foraged, we are also offering a special al fresco dinner
on Friday, May 28. A communal dinner served on our intimate and historic porch, limited to 30 guests, will be served as courses and family style. All ingredients will be farmed and foraged from the Berkshires, Hudson

The programs include Mr. Taylor's two newest dances, Also Playing and Brief Encounters. On Saturday, May 29 at 8pm, the program features the satiric Public Domain, the erotic Brief Encounters, and Taylor's red-hot look at the culture of tango, Piazzolla Caldera. Our local theaters, museums and performing arts centers have released their summer schedules - now's the time to make reservations for a late spring or summer stay at the Red Lion. The Inaugural Memorial Day Marathon Weekend will take place on May 29-30, 2010 with the start and finish at the iconic Tanglewood Music Center just up the road from the Inn! The weekend will feature The Memorial Day Marathon & 1/2 Marathon, The Berkshires 10K & 5K races and a Pre-Race Expo at Tanglewood. To view the course maps, please click here. Memorial Day Weekend Family Fun Includes
Revival of Car Show at Chesterwood...

Chesterwood, Summer Home of Sculptor Daniel Chester FrenchJust down the road from the Inn is Chesterwood, the home and studio of Lincoln Monument sculptor Daniel Chester French. The site opens on May 29th with a family celebration, Welcome Home Mr. Lincoln, from noon to 4PM. You and the whole family will enjoy art & nature activities, a Lincoln impersonator, live music, and much more. Refreshments will be available; picnicking is encouraged - weather permitting. (Grab a picnic at the nearby Elm St Market, just around the corner from the Inn!).  The event celebrates the homecoming, from its year-long exhibition at the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C., of Daniel Chester French's six-foot, final plaster model of Abraham Lincoln for the Lincoln Memorial. Admission is $15 per adult; children 18 years old and under are admitted for free.
        
On Sunday, May 30, experience the revival of the popular Chesterwood Antique Automobile Show, featuring antique and vintage foreign and domestic vehicles ranging from the turn of the last century to 1974, from 10AM to 5PM. Admission for adults is $15 per person and includes access to sculptor Daniel Chester French's studio and residence.  Free admission for kids 18 and under, sponsored by local businesses.
