Tanglewood in November?

Andrew Pincus, Classical Music Critic for the The Berkshire Eagle, will be at the Stockbridge Library on Sunday, November 15 at 4 p.m. to discuss the Tanglewood Music Center. Mr. Pincus is the author of Tanglewood: The Clash Between Tradition and Change. He will discuss the development of the Tanglewood Music Center, focusing on the impact of the appointment of James Levine as the Music Director of the BSO. Make Marzipan for the Holidays
Marzipan Workshop at Ventfort Hall 
World-renowned wedding-cake designer and author Cile Bellefleur-Burbidge will teach the art of making decorative marzipan at Ventfort Hall Mansion and Gilded Age Museum on Saturday, November 21.  There will be three workshops held at 10am, 2pm and 6pm. Mix and decorate your on traditional sweets, perfect for the holidays. Vogue and Bon Appétit both praised Bellefleur-Burbidge's work. The fee for each workshop is $25 per adult and $15 for children ages 10 to 17. Enjoy an amazing evening at this fundraiser for a notable program that puts area youth to work with professional chefs!

Railroad Street Youth ProjectRailroad Street Youth Project (RSYP), a youth empowerment organization in our community, supports the creation of youth-generated activities that promote responsibility, self-worth and intergenerational respect and communication. RSYP's Berkshire Culinary Arts Program, under the direction of Red Lion Executive Chef Brian J. Alberg and featured on Good Morning America, allows area youth to work with chefs for professional culinary training. The program "finale" is a community dinner overseen by guest chefs working with the students to prepare a gourmet meal for the public! This year's fundraising dinner will be held on November 16th at The Red Lion Inn - join us for hors d'oeuvres, a 5-course meal and the opportunity to win a raffle that awards the lucky winner with a week at a private home in Provence!  Please click here to view the menu!
