The Whole Package
Travel is good for the body and soul - whether you're climbing Massachusetts' highest peak, Mount Greylock, or taking a little extra time in the morning to luxuriate in Porches' comfy beds. If exploring Mother Nature is not your 'thing,' save some time to work out in our state-of-the-art fitness center (follow this link for our amenities, along with photos...) or swim in our heated outdoor pool with a balmy temp of 85 degrees! If you're looking for a more mellow experience, try our Dharma Days package featuring yoga classes at a great studio just up the street from Porches.

Sabine

Sabine the Cat
This frisky feline made the trek all the way from New York City to "work" as our Lobby Ambassador here at Porches. Inspired by our sister property, The Red Lion Inn, and its beloved cat Simon, we decided to add a little warm and fuzzy feeling to our Reception building. Sabine is getting used to the idea and, we're finding, is quite affectionate and playful. The next time you're at Porches, pop in to the Reception building in the afternoon for some hot cider - we have comfy chairs by the fireplace and plenty of stuff to read - and do your blood pressure a favor and lavish some attention on Sabine!

Ain't That Good News at MASS MoCA

Here's what's going on across the street over the next few weeks...

10/17: Dr. Dog with Winterpills - Dr. Dog filters the gamut of American popular music into its own idiosyncratic brand of blue-eyed, dilated-pupil soul. Porches has a few rooms left this weekend...
Through 10/31: Last chance to see the exhibition Simon Starling: The Nanjing Particles !
10/31: Halloween Gallery Quest - for kids 6-12 and their parents, if you'd like to do something different on this traditional day of spooky fun...
11/7: Ain't That Good News - a raucous vaudevillian cabaret, full of roaring music and impassioned characters.

Plus, there are six other exhibitions and three installations to check out...

We got caught by Facebook! We originally set up Porches' Facebook page as just another "friend" - we're a friendly kind of place, so it made sense at the time - but since discovered that Facebook wants us to be a business and not just a friend. So, we created a new Fan page for Porches - please click on the link below to become a Fan of Porches! We post information on events near Porches and other stuff that we hope you enjoy...
