A TRULY AUTHENTIC EXPERIENCE!

The Porches Inn was honored recently by National Geographic Traveler, being named to their "Stay List" - 150 hotels you will love and "that are among the best at blending location-inspired architecture, ambience and amenities, eco-stewardship and an ethic of giving back to the community."

MASS MoCA continues to define a visit to North Adams, as reported by the Boston Globe . MASS MoCA, working in collaboration with Yale University Art Gallery and Williams College Museum of Art, has announced a "landmark installation," of a Sol LeWitt retrospective in November.
WE'RE ALL IN THIS TOGETHER!

Economic bad news has hit very swiftly, some may say.  The coming six months offer great value at Porches and in the Berkshires.  Although we are always competitive in our pricing and terms, we're going to be more aggressive and flexible with our clients to help them bring meetings and tours to fruition and under budget.  Let's talk!

GROUP ACTIVITIES ON A BUDGET

The Williams College '62 Center for Theatre and Dance offers free and low price programming in a beautiful, new venue

MCLA Presents! offers diverse programming, some free and most under $20.

The Western Gateway Heritage State Park in North Adams chronicles one of the great railroading and engineering projects of the 19th century.  Admission and parking is free.

THE BERKSHIRES AND ART MUSEUM TRAVEL

Group travel is a proven method for cultural organizations to build membership loyalty, enhance development initiatives and create a sense of community.

The arts scene in the Berkshires always offers something new to complement our established cultural attractions. From visiting exhibits to galleries and open artist studios (over 50) to expanding performing arts seasons, the region is an ideal destination for group travel designed for patrons, members and volunteers of cultural institutions.

Recently, there have been some pretty big developments on the cultural front, here in the Berkshires of Western Massachusetts.

The Clark Art Institute in Williamstown is celebrating the completion of the first phase of its expansion with opening of the Stone Hill Center, designed by renowned architect Tadao Ando.

Just a little south, in Pittsfield, the Berkshire Museum has just completed a $10 million renovation, which includes a new gallery - the Feigenbaum Hall of Innovation.  The installation of museum-quality climate control throughout the 104-year-old facility, has allowed them to unveil new installations of its permanent collection, including a new Native American gallery featuring art and artifacts from the extensive collection that has not been on public view in many years due to the lack of climate control.

Right across the street here in North Adams, MASS MoCA is opening an extraordinary retrospective of Sol LeWitt's wall drawings, an unprecedented collaboration between MASS MoCA, the Yale University Art Gallery and the Williams College Museum of Art.
