As 2009 comes to a close, we are buoyed by proclamations that economic trends will turn positive in the coming year.  With that sense of optimism, it is certainly a time to reflect on our overall business strategy, to consider what has worked well this past year, to plan for changes in what has not worked well, and to position ourselves to take full advantage of the recovery. 

Winston Churchill said, "For myself I am an optimist - it does not seem to be much use being anything else."  I believe it is actually pragmatic, and best practice, to proactively look at opportunities to capitalize on expected growth in 2010...and we at Touchstone hope to be there to help you achieve your goals in the coming year.

 

It is also a time to thank those who have contributed to our businesses and fabric of our lives this past year.  Albert Schweitzer wrote, "At times our own light goes out and is rekindled by a spark from another person.  Each of us has cause to think with deep gratitude of those who have lighted the flame within us."  We should all take the time to thank our customers, employees, suppliers, colleagues, friends and family for being part of our everyday lives.
