Greetings!
Well I'm sure you can't help but have noticed that its Valentine's Weekend?! Its become so commercialised now that its pretty hard not to isn't it? So, my thoughts for this issue of my newsletter turn to love..... actually, they're never far away from that topic as love truly does make the world go around....I'm not talking about romantic love now, although that plays a big part, but unconditional love of ourselves, our family, friends, neighbours, even our enemies, nature, this beautiful planet that we share for a while. As I was pottering about this morning, thinking about what I would write whilst listening to Sunday Morning Love Songs on Radio 2, the track, 'The Greatest Gift of All' came on and inspired me (I've shared the words below instead of the usual 'Affirmation of the Month'). So, read on for more on the theme of Learning to Love Yourself..... and Happy Valentine's Day!
Best wishes, Dawn x

Valentine's Day & Being Single |
|
If, like me, you're currently single then Valentine's Day and all the hype around it can be quite daunting. Feelings range from being left out, feeling more lonely as you observe everyone around you booking restaurants, choosing cards and buying gifts.... OR, it can be quite liberating and enjoyable - you choose! Its actually the perfect time to think about you. What we project is what we attract so we are less likely to find our soulmate if we are moping around feeling sorry for ourselves. And how many people do you know who are buying cards and presents because they feel they 'should'? For the last couple of years I have spent some time choosing myself a Valentine's Card and posting it! - I know it sounds daft but its actually quite good fun! You get to choose the card that you would really like to receive, to start to tune in to what you want and what you give in a relationship. So I encourage you now to shift your energy around the day, go out, choose a card and post it to yourself. I've also sent a few to some of my single friends (you'll know who you are tomorrow!), just to bring a smile to their face :)
For the rest of the weekend, and on the day itself, spend it doing things that nurture your romantic side - watch your favourite rom-com, treat yourself to a few chocolates, indulge in a luxurious bath and start to feel your heart opening up to the possibility of love again.... and repeat this affirmation over and over 'My heart is open to giving and receiving love'. |
| Searching for a Soulmate? |
|
Continuing on the 'Love' theme .... I'm looking for some help in re-shaping my business and how I can best help you to help yourself. The emerging pattern of people that I'm working with is that they are in various stages of 'post divorce/relationship'. This ranges from the immediate aftermath and learning how to cope to some time later and being ready to look for love but still carrying a heart that needs healing.
So, I'm doing a little research into when people need the help most and what they need help with and it would be a big help to me if you could take a few minutes to complete my survey - there are only 10 questions so it won't take long. For those that leave a contact email you'll be entered into a prize draw for a free laser coaching session.
If you are still feeling 'stuck' post-relationship, replaying events and old wounds then come along to the Heal Your Life - Achieve Your Dreams weekend workshop - it will be emotional(!) but it can bring big shifts when you're ready to let go of everything that is still holding you back. See my Wellbeing Workshops page - space is limited so book now by emailing dawn@appearingday.co.uk |

Greatest Love of All
Lyrics by Linda Creed; Michael Masser
I believe the children are our future Teach them well and let them lead the way Show them all the beauty they possess inside Give them a sense of pride to make it easier Let the children's laughter remind us of how it use to be
Everybody's searching for a hero People need someone to look up to I never found anyone to fulfill my needs A lonely place to be So I learned to depend on me
I decided long ago, never to walk in anyone's shadow If I fail, If I succeed At least I live as I believe No matter what they take from me They can't take away my dignity
Because the greatest love of all Is happening to me I found the greatest love of all inside of me The greatest love of all Is easy to achieve Learning to love yourself It is the greatest love of all
I believe the children are our future Teach them well and let them lead the way Show them all the beauty they possess inside Give them a sense of pride to make it easier Let the children's laughter remind us how we use to be And if by chance that special place That you've been dreaming of Leads you to a lonely place Find your strength in love
