For the next few issues I'm going to 'showcase' a particular workshop to give you further insight into each topic.
Re-Style Your Life! is a fabulous day that works from the inside out and the outside in, leaving you feeling full of confidence in the way you look and the way you feel. By the end of the day you will have a clear picture of where you are now in your life, where you are heading and actions that will take you there. Learn how to dress with style and make a great first impression - you will never waste money on impulse purchases again! Learn about your body shape and how to enhance your assets and hide your flaws. Understand the power of loving and accepting yourself and the power of the mind to create your future. This fantastic, fun day is presented by myself and Image Consultant and Personal Stylist Julie Torrance of Rags4Riches.
The next workshop is on Saturday 1st March and would make a great Mother's Day present instead of chocolates and flowers - go on, indulge yourself!

| I participated in a Change Management workshop last week and that set me thinking about New Years Resolutions. How are you getting on with yours? We usually choose resolutions that will bring about change in our lives: eating healthily; exercising more; giving up smoking etc. Our resolutions are self imposed and therefore we don't have the typical reactions we face with enforced change such as shock, denial and blame before finally moving into acceptance - or do we?
Even though we want to lose that weight or run that mile, subconsciously our 'gremlin' may well be keeping us stuck! That little inner voice of ours saying 'go eat another biscuit - you know want to' or 'you must be mad going out to exercise in this weather!' That gremlin really will be working hard to keep you in denial even though you want to achieve the goals you have set for yourself. So make use of visualisation - picture yourself in the future when you have achieved your goal. What does it feel like? What do you look like? How are your friends reacting to you? What else is happening around you as a result. Really feel how great it is to have lost that weight, run that mile or never smoked again! Hold on tight to that picture and your inner gremlin will find it harder and harder to be heard. Happy day-dreaming :-)

| It's only a thought, and a thought can be changed
 How many times have you refused to think a positive thought about yourself? Well, you can refuse to think negative thoughts about yourself too! People say: "I can't stop thinking a thought". Yes you can! You have to make up your mind that that is what you are going to do. You don't have to fight your thoughts when you want to change things. When that negative voice comes up, you can say: "Thanks you for sharing" You are not giving your power over to the negative thought, and yet you are not denying that it is there. You are saying: "Okay, you're there and thank you for sharing, and I'm choosing to so something else. I don't want to buy into that any more, I want to create another way of thinking. Don't fight your thoughts. Acknowledge them and go beyond them.

| Stop those sugar cravings! |

Do you have a sweet tooth? If, like me, you do then dieting is quite possibly a challenge as you go through the detox phase of weaning yourself off a sugar laden diet. But there is help! I have been using Nature's Sunshine Synerprotein as a regular part of my diet now for several months and it completely zaps the sugar dips. It's a protein drink that you mix with milk or water and take for breakfast and/or lunch - it really has transformed my relationship to food and is a great support in the first few weeks of a diet.
