Greetings!
As 2011 draws to a close, please consider how you can magnify the impact of your conservation giving to protect more land and water.
The Conservation Campaign has helped generate some $35 billion for land conservation, water protection, wildlife habitat, farmland preservation, outdoor recreation, and parks. The political, technical, and financial assistance we offer campaigns has helped pass 400+ ballot measures and legislation in 20 states.
2012 is shaping up to be a big year for conservation funding ballot measures. We anticipate several statewide measures, including one in Alabama to renew Forever Wild, the state's dedicated funding for conservation. We expect local governments throughout the country will also have measures on the ballot. For example, voters in Beaufort County, SC, will likely decide on continuing the county's Rural and Critical Lands program. Working with The Trust for Public Land, we are already in discussions to bring our highly successful strategies to these and many other state and local campaigns.
Thank you for all you do.
Best wishes for a happy New Year,
Ernest Cook, President
