Since 2001, with your steadfast support, the Conservation Campaign has worked with towns, counties, cities and states to invest more than $35 billion in land and water conservation. In so many places, this state and local funding is the linchpin of a legacy of clean water, wildlife and outdoor recreation for our children and grandchildren.
To keep defending and creating this funding, we need your continued support. Please take a moment to donate today. Your online contribution will be matched dollar for dollar and be put to work right away.
In our first decade, the Conservation Campaign helped pass over 400 ballot measures and won more than a dozen state legislative victories. But the true measure of what we have achieved together over the last ten years is the places protected and the parks created.
Our real success comes when Alachua County, FL, safeguards more than 18,000 acres of watershed lands and wildlife habitat; when family-owned farms and ranches in Arapahoe County, CO, are protected from development; or when a new park opens in Newark, NJ, that brings outdoor play into the lives of inner-city kids.
With your help, we can keep investing in our land and water We enter our second decade in a difficult time for public investment in land conservation. Even after voters in the recent election passed an overwhelming majority of conservation funding initiatives nationwide, we are preparing for legislators to target conservation funds to fill budget gaps.
Your contribution will allow us to advocate in more state capitals to protect and establish conservation funds. It will also help us guide and support local advocates working to pass conservation ballot initiatives in the toughest political climate yet.
Every dollar you have contributed to the Conservation Campaign so far has helped generate more than $2,000 in public conservation funding. Our efficient structure, with 89 percent of funds going directly to campaigns, multiplies the impact of your donation. Please donate today to preserve America's special places in the years to come.
