Learn Archival Picture Framing Our July newsletter offered an introduction to Preservation Framing -- the method of framing that keeps your artwork from decaying and extends print longevity. For those of you who would like more in-depth information on the process, the Image Permanence Institute features a great article with detailed instructions and diagrams on preservation framing for photography. We know many of our customers will find this information helpful, so we got in touch with the IPI, who gave Frame Destination permission to host the article on our website: Preservation Framing of Photographic Images
The article covers a lot of ground: it details the components of the framing process, explains the different causes and types of photo decay, and defines best practices for preservation framing. It concludes with helpful tips on proper display techniques.

Updated Floater Frame Instructions Some of our customers have requested Floater Frame instructions that are more clearly detailed. We are grateful for the feedback, and happy to provide the additional information! The new instructions show how to attach canvas stretchers and gallery wraps to our Floater Frames using our "offset clip" hardware. If you're new to offset clips, they are not exactly intuitive, so we've uploaded a new photo and revised the instructions to provide more detail. We hope the new version makes it much easier to float-frame your stretched canvases and gallery wraps. Please let us know if we can provide any more information; we always welcome your feedback.
