X-ray inspection of finished products can detect any solid foreign substance that could contaminate the items. In this illustration, a 2.5 mm sliver of glass and a 1.0 mm piece of steel were detected. This can be accomplished at speeds up to 400 feet per minute.

EAGLE PACK 430

The pictured Eagle Pack 430 is one of the mainstays of the Smiths X-ray product lines. This systems is designed for a wide variety of products in finished packaging up to 6" in height. This system includes automatic detection and rejection. The patented "Simul-Task" feature allows for optimization of detection abilities for each target. The addition of "Multi-Task" imaging allows additionally, for check weighing, specific area weighing, missing or misplaced item detection and void detection.
 
Pro-Scan XS

 Pro-Scan XS is a brand new addition to the Smiths line of x-ray inspection systems. The Pro-Scan XS is designed for inspection of high-speed can, bottle and composite lines as well as other upright container formats. The new compact design is only 4 feet wide allowing for installation in tight spaces.  The side view detection coverage provides full inspection of a range of container sizes and is capable of carrying out multiple inspections at line rates in excess of 1000 PPM.  
 
 
Eagle BulkEagle Bulk Systems
 
Smiths offers x-ray detection systems for continous feed, bulk products. The EAGLE BULK 430 pictured here is an example of the various sizes of systems available to meet a wide range of bulk products. Variable speed conveyor systems are FDA suitable and can be easily incorporated into exisiting production lines.
